The FIRST thing to do when you’re starting a business
In this video series I share daily tasks and actions that will take you around 10 minutes to complete each day and will help you find more interior design clients and make huge progress in your design business.
When people are starting their business too many people procrastinate by spending time on things they think are helping their business (e.g. making pretty logos, websites, Instagram pages) and not enough time taking action on the one most important question they should be asking themselves:
What is the fastest path to revenue?
When you’re first starting your business, or a new project, you have to think about how you can start getting money in the door as fast as possible.
Why?
Because until you have people paying you for your products and services you:
Don’t have a viable business (you just have a hobby!)
You don’t have any proof that people actually have a need or want for the products or service that you are trying to sell them.
Your logo, website, Instagram page are all super important but they can come later. What needs to come first is actually finding clients and starting to work with them.
So reflect on whether you are currently spending time on the right actions or if you perhaps need to take the leap and really put yourself out there to start getting clients in the door and making this a viable business!
You CAN do this – but finding clients will be harder than working on your logo or Instagram – so you will need to really push yourself with this.
