Community Q&A: What is a good app for time tracking?

Here is the question I’m answering today:

Here are my thoughts on this:

The app I always recommend (and have used myself) is Harvest.

It allows you to track time spent on projects, create invoices and generate reports on your own (and your team's) work. Harvest is pretty user friendly and integrates with various tools such as Asana, Trello, Xero and Slack.

So that’s the one I know the best.

But here are some other popular time tracking apps you may like to investigate:

  1. Toggl: features include project management, reporting and integrations.

  2. Clockify: completely free and offers features such as team management, project management and detailed reporting.

  3. RescueTime: runs in the background on your device and automatically tracks your activity, providing insights into how you spend your time.

  4. Timeneye: allows you to track time for multiple team members, set up approvals for time entries and create reports.

  5. Everhour: integrates with a range of project management tools such as Asana, Trello, and Jira, and provides accurate and detailed reports on team activity.
