My Monthly Review - November 2022
I have been publicly sharing my monthly business reviews since January 2022 (scroll to the bottom of this post to see my others).
This is a reset process I go through on the first of every month to review the month that has just been and to plan for the month ahead.
I highly encourage all of my clients and students to do a similar process each month as it helps keep you accountable and see what is working and isn’t working in your business.
If you want a free checklist to use you can grab that here:
If you aren’t regularly tracking what is happening in your business then it’s very difficult to assess what’s working, what isn’t working, what progress you are making (or not making!) and how you can improve.
My review process normally takes me about 20 minutes to complete each month and when I look back on my previous entries I’m so grateful that I have a record of what has been happening so I can look back on how far I have come!
A quick note before we start…
I share this information publicly because I’m a completely open book and want to encourage and inspire other women and mothers about what is possible with their businesses.
When I was starting my ow business I used to follow a few business owners who did something similar to this and I found it hugely inspiring and helpful as it showed me what was possible in my own business.
However, I’m aware that some people find the sharing of business results and revenue numbers triggering, so if that’s you then I suggest you skip this post and jump in to some of my other free content instead :)
Here’s my review from November 2022.

Notes from Last Month
What went well, what didn’t go well…
November has been a fantastic month for so many reasons! After many months of writing this review and saying how I was feeling really slack and lazy for not completing tasks I set myself I really put my head down this month and got SO many things completed.
First of all I had a record month with revenue. This was largely as a result of a hugely successful Black Friday weekend. Over the Black Friday weekend we enrolled hundreds of new students into all the programs I have and made $301,000 in those few days alone. I’m hugely grateful for the support and excited to be welcoming so many new people into courses.
Here’s a run down of other things that happened this month that I’m really happy with:
Created and launched my new Notion templates, which people have been asking about for ages now. I had hundreds of people download these as part of Black Friday when I was launching them. You can find them here if you’re interested.
Posted weekly to YouTube and had some great feedback on the new videos. Enjoying this and keen to keep going with it now I’m back in momentum!
Successfully got through another brain procedure that I had to have this month (an angiogram to check the operation they did a few months ago). This meant another day in hospital and another week off exercise - but feeling good again now
Planned and executed a more strategic approach to my Black Friday sales. In the past years I have been a bit disorganised with this and just ‘winged’ it - but this year I put a bit more pre-planning into the execution and it definitely paid off!
Best ever Black Friday weekend sales
Made some decisions about our home renovation and have found a rental property to move to while we fix up the house. We move today! Although the house is quite plain it’s only a few years old and has a pool (that’s actually finished!) so will be a nice place to spend summer and beyond
Had to restart 75 Hard after my angiogram/hospital as I couldn’t keep up the 2x exercise sessions each day once I had the operation. But since I restarted I have been SO disciplined and consistent with it, especially with my nutrition, which is really consistent at the moment (and making me feel great)
After losing my pull up strength after my brain surgery in July I am finally getting back to where I was with my fitness and strength. I can now do 25 unassisted pull ups, which is pretty solid given I’m only about 4-5 months post brain surgery. Very happy with that! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Have lost the few kgs I put on since my brain surgery and am back to my ‘pre-brain surgery’ weight - yay! This has largely been as a result of being VERY disciplined with my nutrition over the past month or so as my exercise is always very consistent. I’m eating heaps of protein and veg and staying away from the boys’ snack cupboard LOL (hello salt and vinegar chips - my favourite!!).
I’m also $15,000 off hitting a total of $5 million in revenue in just over 3 years (proud of myself 😄)
Overall I’m thrilled with how November has gone and it’s just a reminder to myself that I always feel better when I’m taking as much action as possible, rather than sitting around procrastinating or thinking about things I should be doing (and overthinking them!).
The YouTube videos have been one lesson in particular for this. One of the things that have put me off doing the YouTube videos is I feel like I should get properly ‘dressed’ and presentable rather than be in my active wear for the video. But then I decided that I didn’t care about being in my active wear because that’s actually just who I am - I basically live in active wear as I’m always about 5 minutes away from doing some more exercise 🤣 - so I decided to just show up in what I was in and record the video! This has helped a lot with the consistency and nobody complains that I’m in activewear when they watch it haha! :)
Today we are moving house so that’s going to take some time in the early part of December. We have rented a house close by so we can get our own place fixed up over the coming year or so. Hopefully it won’t take that long but we decided to move out before Xmas so we had a (working!) pool and a nice place for the boys to spend the summer holidays. Moving house is always hectic though. I’m the sort of person who like to move AND be unpacked all on the same day (surprise!) so it’s going to be quite a hectic day today.
We are also heading to Byron Bay next week for our annual holiday there - this will be the 4th or maybe 5th year in a row that we’ve done the same holiday and we are really looking forward to it. We stay at a place called Elements of Byron and it’s such an easy, enjoyable and relaxing holiday. I plan on doing my planning for 2023 while I’m there, which is what I spend my time doing every year when we go to Byron. I am looking forward to coming up with some great ideas for the coming year as I love that planning and review process.
My revenue goal for December is lower than normal as the pattern over past few years is that it’s a slower sales month. I do intend to launch a new project though, which is something my design community will find really helpful I think. This may also help to drive some additional sales before the end of the year, so we will see.
Looking forward - plan this month
Focus this month:
🏡 Get settled in our new house
🏖️ Enjoy our holiday to Byron
📅 Plan for 2023.
Projects this month:
Plan for 2023
Scorecard project completed
Continue with weekly posting to YouTube
Create new TLDC lead magnets and share
Goals this month:
1: ♠️ 75 Hard - Ends 25 January
2: $80K revenue (a lower goal for December as it’s always a slow month)
What would make this month amazing?
Feeling on top of things for the end of the year, having a relaxing break and being settled in our new house 😄
